Now that I’ve had a few days to experience the Sweater Ops in CoD BO6, I’m starting to wonder if this is just a limited-time gimmick or if it’s the future of Call of Duty in general. At first, I thought it was a temporary addition, just for a holiday event or something. But after seeing the unique skills and playstyles these operators offer, I’m starting to think we could see more themed, reactive operators in the future.
The idea of incorporating casual or themed gear alongside traditional combat outfits could open up some really interesting design opportunities. Maybe in the future, we could get other sets of operators with different vibes—like “sports” operators or “festival” ops that each come with their own specialized skills and loadouts.
In terms of balancing, I’ve seen mixed opinions. Some players love the fresh change, while others think the added movement speed and stealth advantages are just a step too far from the “realism” CoD usually aims for. It’s definitely a topic for debate, and I’m curious to see where the devs take it.
