If you want to fully enjoy the CHOAM Salvage Rights event in Dune: Awakening, understanding the three key contracts is essential. Each quest offers unique gameplay and plenty of CHOAM Cargo to earn.
First, "Retrieve CHOAM Cargo" sends you to loot chests inside cargo freighters falling from the sky or enemy gun emplacements. Be quick here—these locations are hot zones with environmental hazards and threats like sandworms. I recommend bringing healing kits to counter surprises like poison or fire hazards inside the ships.
Second, "Sabotage Kirab Emplacements" has you track down turrets scattered throughout Hagga Basin. Clearing out Kirab enemies guarding these turrets and using your Cutteray to deactivate them gives a satisfying tactical thrill. Note that only one emplacement needs to be sabotaged to complete the quest, but nearby chests often hold extra CHOAM Cargo Safe Dune Awakening Solari.
Lastly, "Make Them Pay" involves hunting 25 Kirab enemies found near turrets and in Vermillius Gap. This contract can be fulfilled naturally while doing the other two, as enemies spawn in those zones.
Pro tip: Areas like Mysa Tarill just north of Sheol have clustered ship crashes with slower worm activity, making it a prime farming spot. Whether solo or group play, the event's mix of combat and scavenging keeps the adrenaline high while you build up enough CHOAM Cargo to trade for exclusive tech-themed weapon variants and a Harkonnen turret statue Dune Awakening Solari.
Dive in while it lasts—this event is a fantastic way to mix PvE combat, world events, and rare cosmetics in one package!
